Concert April 2015
A concert worthy of your attention... Our director wanted us to play softly... not an easy task for our concert band!
So he imposed upon us (with happiness) a soloist whom we knew well: Marie-Laure Célisse.
Marie-Laure began playing the flute at age 5, in St. Michel de Maurienne, then at age 7 she entered the conservatory in Chambéry to study with Lydie and André Guérin. At age 14, she studied at the conservatory in Lyon in the class of Michel Lavignolle, from which she graduated with a gold medal.
She later studied in Paris with Patrick Gallois and the CEFEDEM in 2010.
Today she belongs to the Principal Army Band as piccolo soloist.
This concert was another one of her dreams: to play under the direction of her father the "Flute Concertino" by C. Chaminade and "The White Blackbird".
... a real pleasure, I must say... a real pleasure.
